The Joy and responsibility

It was a day when it was supposed for my wife to go to Hospital Al-Islam in Kampung Baru for her routine maternity check-up. The date was 24th April 2019 and my wife has just into her 37 week pregnancy. Week before that we received a "false alarm" when my wife was experiencing an interval of 30-minutes of contraction interval. I was so worried that I have to come back from Miri, hopping to the last minute flight one day ahead before my plan flight back to KL the next day. To my relief, I was welcomed by my wife, grinning with her smile as she did not feel anymore contraction when I arrived at the doorstep of my mother's in-law house in Sentul.
2 weeks has passed since then, and everything went smooth as we did some last minute preparation. And still she has yet to feel the contraction. So when we went to Hospital Al-Islam, we were very sure that she will deliver the baby on her 39th or so week. When we went to see Dr. Norlidah, the specialist who has been my wife for the past 8 months, she will look into her medical result and the baby detail scan. Then Dr. Norlidah checked the opening of her cervic and found that it was already 4cm opened and no other sign being observed such as water broke. Having observed the condition, the doctor advised for my wife to be warded.
Once Dr. Norlidah completed the routine check, my wife started feeling the contraction, As nervous as any parent could be, my wife was admitted into the ward one hour later as the contraction become more frequent. For the first time ever cool sweat was dropping from my forehead, as I saw infront of me how painful it was when she felt the contraction. I could only hold her hands and calm her when she tried to contain the pain. It went continously from 11am till the start of Zuhur prayer. My wife decided to perform zohor prayer and miraculously, the pain stop. She was able to recite Quran Chapter Maryam as they said that Chapter will help to ease the mother during delivery process. At 2pm, the moment of truth has come as she was called in to the labour room by the attending nurse. She was still experiencing the contraction when she was already in the Labour Room. I couldnt do much except to calm her down by rubbing my hands to her body and whisper to her ears to read salawat.
The contraction came every 4-5 minutes with every interval will last for 1/2 a minute or so. I could monitor the trend as I was
