I will always remember Eid as . How things has changed from the day I was a kid until now (still proclaim myself as a kid).
This year's celebration there is real difference and zest as compared to previous years, when we no longer balik kampung at the end of Ramadhan. First turn of event that dictates on how to cebrate the first day of Aidil Fitri is when Arwah Atuk has moved from Kampung Bintang Laut in Johor to become Atuk KL.
As I listening with the conversation that my parents have with Abang Yoes and Kak Hafiz, how it turn back the memories as I had when we visited at Wak San (Hamsan) house during Raya. Raya at Wak San house is like Raya at Penghulu's house. The spread of foods which we normally had at the dinning area was the time were were looking forward. Traditional menu that was normally offered during hari raya is ayam masak kicap, rendang daging that i had them together with ketupat nasi. But the most i always looking forward was maruku, which i do not know until today why i could only found it at rumah Wak San, and probably biskut arab.
