Today will be my last meeting with Dr. Datesh before my wedding. It supposed to remove the last stent with only a string attached to it. It should be done manually, no sedation and the simple procedure will be done in the clinic. Though as simple procedure as it may sound as been described by the doc, I would not take any risk to ensure the procedure is going to be smooth. For the past 6 days after the last surgery, my activities were very restricted. I did not go for a normal 1 hour walk, no outdoor activity, merely activity confined in my house preparing the wedding goody bags. As a result of it, my weight did not show any reduction as I have anticipated. The weighing scale at the clinics showed my weight was 92.45kg.
After doing the registration at the counter, I arrived at the clinic at 10.30 am, as the appointment was set at 10.45am. I have to wait for 30 minutes until it was my turn. Probably there were too many patient that the doctor had to handle that day. I was still anxious about how will the day go. Upon entering the consultation room, the nervousness recede when I saw the familiar face of the doctor.
As usual, he would ask how was my condition for that day, and quick chat and he asked me whether I was ready. I was asked to lay down at the observation bed. Not much an issue so far as I haven't seen any surgical equipment or even a nurse. When he first saw the string, he made a joke that the patch which he put was still intact. I told him that I wouldnt dare to remove the patch. He did asked me a few question in order to distract me. For the first time I was stuttering when I was replying him and with a sudden jerk he pulled the string along with the stent tied to it.Woosh...very fast and not a pain.
